The Fact: Through a molecular process called Saponification, the lye and oils react and completely transform into soap and natural glycerin.

The Benefit: There is zero lye left in the finished bar. We "super-fat" our recipes, meaning we add extra oils so that every molecule of lye is used up, leaving behind only skin-loving nutrients.
